**If so I am looking for you to join our team for a Maternity Cover Travel Consultant for a maternity cover period of 6-9 months starting in January in 2025.**

**The Role**
As a Travel Consultant, you will play a key role in providing exceptional service to our clients from enquiry to after-sales.
You’ll be responsible for creating bespoke travel itineraries, managing client interactions, and contributing to the team’s sales performance.
This role requires excellent teamwork, strong organisational skills, comprehensive destination knowledge, and a dedication to outstanding customer service.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Assisting clients with their travel needs and providing expert advice.
- Creating bespoke travel itineraries and competitive quotes.
- Converting sales enquiries and supporting the team in meeting conversion targets.
- Managing daily administrative tasks to ensure efficient operations.
- Handling phone, in-person, and online enquiries.
- Attending training sessions and industry events to enhance product knowledge.
- Resolving customer issues to ensure a high level of satisfaction.
- Maintaining and building client relationships through focused account management.
- Aiding and undertaking ongoing professional development individually and of the team.
- General maintenance of a safe, welcoming, clean and tidy workplace.
- Ensuring compliance with GDPR and ABTA regulations.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in the travel industry.
- A genuine passion and knowledge of worldwide travel.
- Demonstrated sales ability and experience in a customer-facing role.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and creative problem-solving abilities.
- Strong travel and geographical knowledge.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a team-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of tailor-made itineraries and the luxury travel market is beneficial.
- Proficiency in online booking systems, Office 365 and general IT skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English.

**Work Schedule**
- Ideally Full Time (37.5-42 hours a week) for at least 3 months - Options for Part Time (30+ Hours) could be considered during shop opening hours following a full time period ending at the start of April.
- FT equivalent is 5 full days including most Saturdays.
- No Sundays or bank holidays.
- Some flexibility required on occasion.
- Fixed Term Contract.
- Pay will be salaried pro rata and offered reflective of experience plus potential opportunity to earn bonus'

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6-9 months

Pay: £23,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
