We provide **residential care** for young people from ten to twenty-one years old and are looking for a Day Shift Care Worker in our three-bed care homes in Ayrshire (Near Drongan and Doonfoot)

We provide a homely, safe and supportive environment and promote responsibility, growth, learning and positive outcomes for young people who come to stay with us.

As part of a team, you will provide day-to-day care, support and direction to young people with challenging emotional and behavioural needs. The role requires you to work with national childcare practice and use planned activities as a medium for healing. It also requires that...

Salary

**Salary £12.15 per hour. £26500 per annum full time**

Hours of work

**Full time 12pm to 12 am shifts, (14 shifts in every 4 week rota).**

**Part time 12pm to 12am shifts (8 shifts in every 4 week rota).**

Whilst previous experience would be desirable, excellent support skills, the right motivation, personal qualities and levels of resilience are just as important.

**Qualifications**
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience working with children or in a support environment
- Valid driver's license and experience of driving
- Familiarity with IT systems such as word
- Ability to work awake night shifts in a residential childcare setting

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £26,000.00 per year
