**The role of the Nursing Associate is to work with the multi professional team and the Registered Nurse contributing to the ongoing assessment, providing and monitoring care in line with the service pathways and as agreed with supervising clinician(s). They will monitor the condition and health needs of people within their care on a continual basis in partnership with the multi-professional team.**
We provide a seven day service and participation in the out of hours on call gastrointestinal rota is essential to meet the needs of the local community.

- Registered Nursing Associate on the NMC Register
**Desirable criteria**:
- Evidence of having undertaken relevant further study or training as required for the post
**Knowledge, Skills, Training and Experience**:
**Essential criteria**:
- Good communication skills (written & verbal)
- Team leadership skills
- Evidence of ongoing personal and professional development
- Demonstrate a knowledge of the specialty
**Desirable criteria**:
- IT skills
- Evidence of the acquisition of relevant skills associated with the role
- Willingness to undertake relevant further study as required for the post
**Skills, Abilities and Attitude**:
**Essential criteria**:
- Must be declared fit for work in accordance with Occupational Health screening requirements
- Willingness to work flexible shifts Must be willing to take part in the weekend and Out of Hours on call upper GI bleed rota.
