**Manual Tester**

**Mainly home based but travel to the office will be required one day per week - due to location own transport is essential**

Our client provides the support services that enable our Armed Forces to prepare for the modern battlefield by maintaining and delivering safe infrastructure and support services that promote sustainable and effective military training.

**Responsibilities**:
Testing of new and improved IT services and management of defects arising from testing.
- Interpreting user cases and requirements and then create and maintain test plans, test cases and test scripts in line with the IT Testing Process
- Undertake manual and automated testing using an appropriate tool e.g. Selenium, Protractor, Test Manager and DevOps
- Planning, scripting and executing SIT and UAT
- Co-ordinate and support UAT sessions
- Report and manage defects using an appropriate tool e.g. DevOps
- Continuously improve the QA process
- Liaise with project team members and business representatives
- Suggest updates and improvements to software solutions

Ideal person will have:

- ISTQB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing
- ISTQB Intermediate in Software Testing (Desirable)
- SQL Experience for reading and scripting
- SpecFlow / Selenium automation
- Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Knowledge of Agile projects
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of DevOps or equivalent (Desirable)
- Knowledge of.Net software development (Desirable)
- ITIL V3 Foundation (Desirable)
