Global law firm seeks an Infrastructure Project Manager to manage a small number of projects and deliverables across Hosted Datacentre (Wintel/Unix etc) environments with a focus on digital transformation migrating servers into both AWS and Azure cloud services.
Working within PRINCE II methods you will engage with various infrastructure and service delivery teams to second appropriate personnel to deliver technical enhancements within a global digital transformation programme with a remit to deliver servers and relatedinfrastructure into the cloud minimising technical debt.
The Project Manager will use their previous experience of delivering infrastructure projects to plan, manage and deliver projects across the global enterprise, albeit with a focus on UK/EU. Liaising with senior business and IT stakeholders you will negotiate,plan, cost, forecast, deliver and report to senior IT management and stakeholder steering committees on numerous elements within the projects and be responsible for the management and mitigation of issues and risks within the project as well as the technicalpersonnel seconded onto the project teams along with 3rd party vendors. Typically you will manage 3 - 5 projects depending on size and complexity.
Project planning, cost forecasting. PID, SOW, budgetary management, man-management, stakeholder engagement and liaison along with regular status reporting will form the basis of this project management role but essentially you will use your previous experienceto manage numerous infrastructure improvements through tenacity and by driving out results. As such you will be required to engage senior level business focussed stakeholders, persuade and negotiate to elicit requirements and guide them as to feasible solutionsand outcomes across the European infrastructure environment.
We are searching for a Infrastructure Project Manager / IT Project Manager who has gained significant experience delivering a range if infrastructure related projects encompassing Wintel Server (Windows Server, O365, VMWare ESXi etc), Unix/Linux, Hosted DataCentre Technologies and specifically with a mix of AWS/Azure Cloud migrations. You will be comfortable engaging with users, business stakeholders, vendors and technical staff within the development and infrastructure teams to resolve issues with related systemsand able to elicit requirements and run projects from end-to-end within the full life cycle utilising PRINCE II methods.
You may have been working in a Law Firm, Solicitors, Legal Services environment or similar professional services environments such as Accountancy, Financial Services, Consultancy etc and be able to demonstrate your experience of delivering projects across multiplegeographies.
