Graduate Tax Trainee sought for the tax team of this highly reputable firm of Chartered Accountants and Advisors in Glasgow.

The tax team provides compliance and advisory services on all aspects of tax for their impressive portfolio of clients, across corporate, personal, employment and indirect taxes. Clients range from entrepreneurial and owner-managed businesses, large corporate groups, business owners, shareholders and high-net-worth individuals.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a recent or soon-to-be Graduate to develop a rewarding and varied career in tax. You will be joining a close-knit team of tax specialists and will be given on-the-job training and support to work towards becoming a highly-skilled and extremely versatile tax advisor in future.

You will also be given comprehensive study support package towards professional ATT/CTA tax qualifications. Previous experience in a tax role is not essential, however experience of working in an office/retail/customer service environment would be advantageous.

As trainee you will:

- Prepare all elements of tax administration duties, computations and returns for a range of clients
- Have direct contact with clients, obtaining relevant information required to complete assignments, and responding to ad hoc client queries
- Work very closely with senior management and Partners in a fast-paced, collaborative working environment.
- Have regular contact with HMRC and colleagues across other disciplines
- Work on research assignments to support colleagues with bespoke tax advice.
- Build and maintain your tax technical knowledge

To be considered for this role, you must be:

- A soon-to-be (or recent) University Graduate, minimum 2:1 grade (or predicted) with strong academic history
- An excellent communicator with a passion for working with others and ability to work independently
- Ambitious and passionate about developing a career in tax
- An excellent problem solver who enjoys researching new concepts to broaden your technical knowledge and commercial acumen
