**Line Leader - Raw Chilled (Food Production)**

**4 on 4 off shift, Nights, 17:45-05:45**

**38.5hrs average per week**

Cranswick Riverside opened in 2012 to act a satellite site to our primary processing facility in Preston, Hull. Riverside produces fresh and added value pork for major UK retailers. The site has undergone recent and significant factory investment with a focused future strategy, delivering best-in-market supply chain standards and creating a quality culture that puts our customer’s needs at the forefront of all our decisions.

The Purpose of the Role is to be accountable for all processes within the area as directed by the Shift Manager/Retail Manager - to complete the daily production plan to the required quality and in line with customer specifications. To ensure an exceptional level of internal and external customer service, through on time deliveries and mínimal customer returns. Effectively harness, motivate and develop their team in order to reduce staff turnover and encourage maximum productivity.

**Main Duties Include (but not limited to)**:

- To be responsible for the attainment of production targets as directed by the Shift Manager / Retail Manager
- Maximizing efficiencies of all available resource and ensuring BAT at all times, or if this is not possible, reported to the relevant person in a timely manner
- Pre-operational start-up checks; including controlled documents, equipment check sheets, fabrication sheets, hygiene standards and line labour management
- Liaise with the Delford Operatives and QA’s to ensure all WIP documentation and operational checks are completed to the required standard
- Acting as a product specific expert where appropriate, working with other departments and disciplines in a manner to share and train own knowledge
- Understand hourly performance vs target, identify issues and deliver actions to ensure that performance targets are achieved
- Comprehension of position vs plan and be looking ahead to ensure that correct people, equipment and materials are available for the plan to be delivered
- Train and support operators to achieve correct quality standards
- Ensure management of line break times. Inform the Shift Manager of individuals breaching break limits and assist in investigations where necessary
- Ensure accurate recording of yield, labour, efficiencies, waste and other key metrics, as agreed by your line

**What We Look For**:

- Previous FMCG Food Manufacturing experience is preferable
- Proven track record in a team management position / leading a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
