Job Description:
Pfizer’s Strategy & Consulting (S&C) team works with Pfizer senior leadership to lead the development of holistic business strategies across Corporate, Commercial and Research & Development (R&D). This role will work on projects across all four verticals within S&C: US Commercial, Global Commercial Platforms, International, and Corporate and R&D.

You will have frequent exposure to a variety of senior leadership (VPs, SVPs, and Presidents) across Pfizer’s business units, helping to build your network for a long and successful career at Pfizer. You will be reporting to a Director Team Lead or Senior Director who is invested in accelerating your growth and development at Pfizer.

Job Responsibilities:
As a Sr. Associate in this team, your main accountabilities will be:

- Strategic Initiative Support: Support key strategic projects, ensuring they are aligned with the company’s long-term goals and delivered on time
- Quantitative and Qualitative Analysis: Conduct in-depth research to identify market trends, diagnose internal processes, and evaluate potential risks, providing actionable insights to inform enterprise decisions
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with senior executives and cross-functional teams to develop and communicate strategic recommendations and drive alignment
- Teaming and Mentoring: Maintain a collaborative spirit, build personal awareness and model a continuous growth mindset

- Interact with workstream leads to understand their business needs and begin to proactively support them
- Under the direction of a project lead, own deliverables for workstreams that provide insight and direction for key strategic levers such as market development, customer needs assessment, competitive advantage, market and/or product prioritization, and opportunities at the BU, asset, or functional level.
- Develop and maintain an understanding of market dynamics to identify market trends and appropriately assess opportunities and guide strategic direction.
- Begin to formulate insights from external and internal sources to uncover patterns and extract novel insights to provide data-driven recommendations and effectively communicate complex information to project lead
- Bring a team-first attitude to projects, creating an engaging and productive work environment where team members are encouraged to collaborate and excel
- Participate in internal/external networking and thought partnership to broaden functional expertise and maintain awareness of industry trends

Qualifications:

- Minimum BS/BA with some relevant experience
- Relevant healthcare experience includes experience working in/with commercial, corporate or R&D biopharma functions involving strategy development and/or strategic initiatives (e.g., marketing, commercial development, market access & pricing, business development, R&D strategy / portfolio management, etc.)
- Recommends problem solving approaches to support or refute hypotheses based on multiple identified paths. Shares insights that are relevant and going beyond standard templates
- Demonstrated experience working on team-based projects, builds relationships and incorporates business partner working styles
- Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Basic understanding of trends and market dynamics in US and Global healthcare and biopharmaceuticals, and understanding of the drug development and commercialization process
- Presents effectively to team members and less-tenured business partners in a variety of one-on-one and small group settings
- Demonstrated high learning agility, “team player” mentality, pursues goals with clear focus while hiding inclusive interactions with colleagues
- Seeks and acts on feedback,and eager to try new tasks and build skills; incorporates feedback moving forward
- Strong command of English language, spoken and written.
