Cctv Controller- Gaydon

A highly prestigious site is looking for a CCTV Controller to join the team. You will be working at a JLR site, in the Gaydon. Your normal working hours will be 12 hours.You must have an SIA CCTV Licence and a Full UK Driving Licence.
**Salary**: £11.02 per hour
As a CCTV Controller, your responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring the CCTV system to detect and prevent any criminal activity as well as carrying out proactive and systematic electronic patrols
- Acting as the primary source of contact for customer enquiries (in person and telephone) and/or requests for out of hours first aid
- Responding to all alarms within control room (some remote alarms) and manage the inputs as per organisational instructions including following recognised escalation procedures
- Maintaining accurate daily occurrence bookkeeping records in order to respond to any evidence gathering requirements (from internal and external agencies
- Carrying out the testing of all equipment within the control room including CCTV, alarms, radios etc. and maintain accurate testing record
- Maintaining the fire alarm panels to ensure they remain operational or, if requiring isolation, the appropriate recording mechanism is utilised
- Adopting a customer first approach; Communicating at all levels within the Company
- Managing the variety of key control systems in place within the control room
- Contact those on the Major Incident Response Plan using the appropriate system, upon the instructions of the Supervisor
- Being involved in the effective security provision of site utilising CCTV systems to carry out a number of security, fire and safety related patrols at various times throughout the shift
- Reporting any issues found appropriately and in a timely manner
To succeed in this important role as CCTV Controller you will:
- Have proven experience/qualification in control room operations
- Possess good IT skills
- Have the ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast paced and challenging environment is essential
- Be results oriented with a determination to make things happen
- Possess High level of drive, self-motivation and able to deliver with minimum supervision.
- Be IT literate
- Experience of using radio systems and a good knowledge of the phonetic alphabet
- Have excellent communication skills
- View punctuality as important, Have a professional demeanour with sound judgement
- Have excellent customer service skills
- Be capable of working on your own initiative
- Be willing to work as part of a team of Controllers
