Amazon Logistics (AMZL) is door-to-door delivery operation owned by Amazon. The goal of AMZL is to build a world class last mile operation and exceed the expectations of our customers by ensuring that their orders are delivered as quickly, accurately, and inthe most cost effective way as possible.

Key responsibilities, but not limited to, would be:
- Work with product management and cross functional teams to help develop requirements for products and UX.
- Develop the overall design & architecture (including UX) of the software and data solutions
- Establish standards for coding, review process, design and delivery of the software solutions.
- Provide mentorship to other engineers, contribute code to a new product feature, review designs and code.
- Assist in estimation of efforts required for feature development for sprint planning.
- Engage with Amazon Web Services team to continuously learn about their new product offerings and assess usage of those for software development.
- Help create new product ideas with prototypes and white papers.
- Advise senior and executive management using your technical expertise.
**BASIC QUALIFICATIONS**
- A bachelor’s degree or above in computer science, engineering or related field.
- 7+ years of programming experience (3+ years in full stack web development) in Java/Python/C++, or other object-oriented languages.
- Strong computer science and software development fundamentals, including object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design and complexity analysis.
- Experience building and operating highly scalable and available services.
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**
- Experience in real-time analytical systems, cloud based development and machine learning.
- Experience leading or contributing to multiple simultaneous product development efforts and initiatives.
- Balance technical leadership with strong business judgment to make the right decisions about technology choices.
- Constantly striving for simplicity, and at the same time demonstrate significant creativity, innovation and judgment.
- Experience mentoring junior software engineers.
