AN exciting opportunity has arisen at AFC Fylde Football Club of the National League Premier Division for the position of Full-Time Academy Coach to support Football operations at our Training Ground Facility at Mill Farm Sports Village
The successful applicant will have responsibility for all aspects of coaching and development within the AFC Fylde Academy, The main responsibility is to focus on the development of players between the ages of Under 16 to Under 19 focusing primarily on a specific age group within Academy. You will also be required to deliver the Club’s coaching programme as well as actively contribute to its development for the benefit of the players.
**Role**:
The Coaching department plays a key role in supporting the development of young players at the club. This is a fantastic opportunity to coach and develop players in a professional environment to build on the recent success of the Academy in progressing players to the first team.
The role will require the ability to manage and coach a team and to provide the best programme for players to develop whilst actively seeking to progress up the AFC Fylde Pathway.
- A football background either as a player or coach.
- Experience of coaching in Academy Football.
- Experience in working in and managing a team.
- Ability to recognise players’ strengths and weaknesses and devise Individual Learning Plans.
- Skills to record evidence and provide reports and feedback to players and colleagues.
- Ability to plan, work independently and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of the requirements of elite football.

- **Full Time Academy Coach**_
The purpose of the **Academy Coach** role is to manage a specific age group team, providing the best programme for players to develop.
The Academy Coach role can be broken down into 5 key areas of accountability:
1) Manage/Coach an Age Group Team 2) Managing the Player Development Process 3) Development of Self and Others 4) Compliance 5) Equality 1) Manage/Coach an Age Group Team
1.1 Deliver the Coaching Curriculum and Club Philosophy to individual players and teams
1.2 Plan, deliver and reflect on all Coaching activities that take place and record the necessary information for the Academy Manager.
1.3 Ensure all players participate in the clubs Review Process on performance, areas to improve upon and strengths
1.4 Drive and motivate players to perform at a high and consistent level.
2) Managing the Player Development Process

2.1 Recommend potential players to the Academy Manager and Head of Coaching and manage.
2.2 Manage the trialist process once it has been agreed a player is to enter on trial
2.3 Assist improvements in performance through developing, implementing and evaluating player performance and feedback
2.4 Coach and support players and coaches within Development Centres
2.5 Provide reports to the Academy Manager and any other duties which may be requested

3.1 Ensure qualifications are current and meet with Academy Guidelines
3.2 Ensure the specific age group team understand Academy philosophy.
3.3 Positively participate in the club’s in-house CPD
3.4 Attend national and regional meetings, workshops and training courses as required
4) Compliance

4.1 Ensure self and others conduct themselves in a manner that adheres to, complies with and supports the Club’s policies and procedures in accordance with but not exclusive to Health and Safety, and Football Association
4.2 Adheres to the club Code of Conduct at all times
4.3 Understands and adheres to the Club’s safeguarding procedures and externally issued guidelines (e.g. Keeping Children Safe in Education)
4.4 Acts upon concerns identified or raised and reports them to an appropriate individual
4.5 Drive and use company vehicles and personal equipment in accordance with Club and legal requirements
4.6 Follow all AFC Fylde security protocols
4.7 Adhere to any other reasonable requests that meet the needs of the business
