**Senior Legal Counsel** **Renewable Energy firm** **£120K-£130K + 15% bonus** **London - Hybrid working** **Key Responsibilities** - Establishing legal, compliance and risk management policies and best practice throughout the company and assisting in compliance with relevant internal policies (e.g. employee relations, health and safety) and external regulations; - Implementing and maintaining strong corporate governance and risk management framework; - Assisting with commercial negotiations and drafting commercial documentation for route to market, technology product, and project development contracts; - Partnering with commercial team in account management and maintaining current contracts; - Contribute to the maintenance of key corporate and legal documentation, including precedent legal documents, database and physical signed contracts; - Advising and negotiating service and supplier agreements; - Acting as company secretary for group companies, and responsible for group filings and maintaining the company share register, options programme, and articles of association; - Establishing legal framework for managing segregated customer cash accounts; - Managing external counsel and driving cost savings on external legal costs; - Partnering with regulatory manager on regulatory and legal developments associated with batteries and flexibility services; - Partnering with the people team on employee relations matters; - Advise on corporate and organisational structures to support growth in other markets e.g. US, Europe; - Advising on legal documentation and negotiations in potential fundraising and M&A; and - Assisting in dispute resolution matters **Skills and Experience** - 6+ years PQE - qualified in England & Wales - Contract management experience gained through working in a law firm and/or in-house - Experience partnering across commercial teams - Experience in the energy and/or infrastructure sector across the UK and EU, especially in the wholesale energy markets preferred - Experience of energy storage, and software as a service (SaaS) or construction projects would be an advantage
