Currently in the last stages of construction, Kingsway View is seeking **Care Assistants** to join us on this exciting new journey. Providing residential, respite, dementia and nursing care, with 80 state of the art rooms for residents to reside in, spacious dining and lounge areas, an on-site café, floor to ceiling windows, and so much more, we are excited to be bringing this opportunity to Derby

With the desire to always improve and develop their staff skillset, you will be encouraged to progress and develop skills, qualifications and training with the support of the company, so no experience is required

**As a Care Assistant, you will receive;**
- **Full time, permanent** contract
- 38.5 hours per week, **3 on 3 off, 8am-8pm**:

- **6 weekly rolling rota**, making it easier to maintain that all essential work/life balance
- From **£10.23 per hour**, depending on experience and training
- Derby-based with fantastic transport links - **DE22 3ZB**

**Your duties as a Care Assistant**
- Assist residents with all aspects of personal care including toileting, cleaning, bathing, dressing and undressing, whilst ensuring optimum levels of independence, dignity and respect for individuals
- Support residents at mealtimes, according to their individual needs
- Supporting the physical, emotional and social wellbeing of our residents, encouraging them to participate in and attend various social and individual activities according to their interests
- Provide companionship and build relationships with residents, getting to know their interests, likes/dislikes, etc.
- Provide light housekeeping duties including making and changing beds, tidying residents’ rooms keeping in mind how each resident likes their room to be laid out and supporting the general cleanliness of the home
- Escort residents to external appointments and leisure/social outings

**Ideally, as a Care Assistant you will have;**
- Experience of working within a caring environment
- Hold or be willing to work towards L2 in Health & Social Care
- The ability to communicate well and make others feel welcomed and comfortable
- Supervisory and leadership skills, with a strong ability to motivate and inspire
- Willingness to develop new skills
