Pharmacy Assistant

**We are looking for a** **Pharmacy Assistant to join the team at our centre based in Bristol.**

As the Pharmacy Assistant you will assist and support in the provision of a safe and efficient pharmacy service in accordance with GenesisCare guidelines, policies and procedures.

**What you’ll do**:

- Label, dispense and supply medicines within the centre
- Support with the supply of stock medication to the clinical units
- Liaise with patients and/or relatives where necessary for safe and effective medicines management.
- Create patient reminder charts for checking by the pharmacist or pharmacy technician.
- Ensure all pharmaceutical stock is suitably stored and accessible to appropriate clinical areas
- Order and receive goods for use within the centre on the SAP ordering system
- Routinely and regularly check the contents of drug cupboards in order to maintain appropriate range of drugs and correct level of in-date medicines
- Monitor and control the emergency boxes within centre under the guidance of the pharmacy technician

- Attention to detail - ensure accurate recording of data.
- Good organisational and planning skills.
- Able to plan and organise straightforward tasks and ensure effective control of pharmaceutical stock.
- Able to communicate clearly with a range of professionals at differing levels across the company.
- Able to work flexibly to achieve GenesisCare business objective and meet unpredictable demands.
- Empathetic approach to patients and or customers.
- Able to demonstrate a professional approach at all times whilst under pressure.
- Smart and well presented - Confident, articulate, diplomatic and tactful.
- Able to demonstrate flexibility with work hours and cover for others.

**Qualifications and Knowledge**:

- Have an understanding of customer care
- Have an awareness of UK Health environment
- Have an awareness of data protection and patient confidentiality
