Accounts Payable Manager

The Accounts Payable Manager will be responsible for the leading the operation to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments. They will provide support to finance and business functions with a key focus on improvements to payment performance.They will be a key stakeholder to the Finance Transformation Programme to ensure all change within the AP Function is embedded, embraced, and sustained.

**Responsibilities**:

- Accountable for the day-to-day performance of the department
- Review and recommend changes to existing policies and procedures, embedding best practise
- In collaboration with Treasury, Procurement and Finance Transformation gain Group and department efficiencies.
- If required, be prepared to deputise for the Head of Accounts Payable
- Lead, motivate and develop the team of circa 28 FTE
- Set objectives and agree plans for their technical, soft skills and personal development, within the personal development framework.

Skills/ Experience:

- 5 years' management experience of leading a high performing accounts payable function in a large organisation
- Someone who has experience of working within a challenging, dynamic environment
- Sound knowledge of the control environment required in the Accounts Payable function
- Proven ability to successfully lead change within a large organisation
- Demonstrable experience in managing customers effectively, including range of stakeholders.
- Able to contribute positively to the overall direction of the Accounts Payable function.
- Relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance or Management or related field.
- Extensive knowledge of Accounts Payable procedures
