The Acoustics team at Sweco UK are looking for an experienced Acoustic Consultant, possibly nearing Senior level to join their expanding team in London, Cambridge, or Chelmsford. We are a compact, diverse, and close team and have a huge variety of project types including Buildings Acoustics (residential, education, healthcare, offices etc.), Environmental Acoustics (data centres, industrial) and Infrastructure Acoustics (national significant infrastructure projects such as roads).

**What does the role involve?**

The core of the current team is focussed on Buildings Acoustics and there are lots of opportunities for talented Building Acousticians to get involved with some of the largest developments in the UK and around Europe. Environmental Acoustic projects such as data centres are key for Sweco Acoustics and there are opportunities for Environmental Acousticians to drive forward this side of our business and take advantage of the opportunities to work on road, rail, industrial, and energy projects around the UK. We don’t separate Environmental and Building Acoustics, our Consultants work on all types of projects to suit their desired area of focus.

**To be successful in this role you’ll possess**:

- An Associate or Corporate Membership of the Institute of Acoustics (AMIOA or MIOA).
- Experience in Acoustic Consultancy; Environmental, Infrastructure and Architectural/Building Acousticians will be considered at Consultant/Senior Consultant level.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organisation skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and understand the need for accuracy and detail in all aspects of the role.
- A full driving licence is essential as UK-wide travel should be expected.

**Skills that would help you be successful**:

- Knowledge and understanding of the standards, regulations and methodologies related to your area of acoustic consultancy.
- Experience in maintaining a good working relationship with colleagues and external customers.
- Competent in the use of Cadna/A, Odeon and INSUL.
- Competent in the use of sound level meters.
- Interest in personal development.
- Project, client, and financial management skills.
