**Job role**
Responsible for Transactional finance ensuring daily deadlines and month end procedures are completed in full. Acts as communication point into the Finance Manager. Covers were required throughout the department to cover staff absence.
**Responsibilities**
- Daily and Weekly Bank Recs for both Businesses
- Supplier BACS Pay Runs and any further payments were required
- Purchase Ledger role when required and senior assistance to Purchase Ledger Clerk(s) for both businesses
- Month end Purchase Ledger close procedures and month end review with Finance Manager.
- Price queries with Office Manager and Group Buyer.
- Take the lead on Supplier relationships, ensuring all queries are dealt with promptly
- Monitoring of Finance Inbox for both businesses ensuring all queries are dealt with
- Group credit card spend, ensuring all departments are communicated with, paying suppliers if approved by finance manager
- Sales Ledger cover for Sales Ledger Clerk when required (Cash Counting, Receipting etc)
- Support with Direct Debit process
- Petty Cash completing reconciliation where required
- Month end review with Finance Manager to ensure all banks are fully reconciled
- Support to Finance Manager when required, including month end Journals
**Skills Required**:
- Very Strong communication skills essential as the role will involve liaising with all different parts of the business
- Strong attention to detail and can manage their own time
**Experience**
- 5 + Years in a finance environment with good exposure
**Experience**:
- relevant: 5 years (preferred)
