An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced sonographer to join our progressive and innovative team at North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust.

This post is to become part of the multidisciplinary ultrasound team within the Trust providing a comprehensive range examinations, in particular within general and obstetric ultrasound. The vacancy is a rotating cross site position and includes some evening and weekend shifts.

**The main responsibilities of the role include**:

- To perform and report a range of ultrasound procedures as required by the service.
- To vet ultrasound requests and advise clerical staff on appropriate appointments for each examination.
- Responsible for clinical training of junior staff, including radiology registrars, Bsc and Msc students and other specialist registrars.
- Take responsibility for organising the service when ultrasound manager not on site.
- Competent and confident with all I.T. systems within radiology for clinical use, e.g. PACS.
