The Role:
It is an exciting time here at City Plumbing. We have recently become a stand-alone business and are making real strides in creating an inclusive workplace that celebrates and values diversity.

Due to our new ownership, we have committed to undergoing an acceleration project across our Finance teams and now have a need for a BI Analyst to come and join the business.

This is where you come in

You’ll need to be an effective communicator, someone who loves to get to the route of the problem. You’ll enjoy investigating using your analytical skills, then solving the problem by creating new automated processes and code. Essentially, you’ll make ourFinance Teams’ job, both easier and smoother.

This means you’ll focus on:

- Load, transform, and extract datasets from Google Cloud using Google BigQuery and other Big Data tools.
- Business Partnering
- Perform complex data interrogation, investigation, and reconciliation on data from across different programs.
- Automate reports or processes through the use of Google Cloud or other systems.
- Provide training and assistance to stakeholders to give them the knowledge to generate interactive dashboards or extract ad-hoc datasets.
- Work with a wide range of datasets including Sales, Contract, Customer, Supply Chain and Stock with Finance teams dedicated to each aspect.

This is a hybrid-based opportunity with true flexibility to work from home, but you should be within commutable distance of our newly refurbished offices in Crick, Northamptonshire.

This means you could be based in Corby, Coventry, Hinckley, Kettering, Leamington Spa, Leicester, Loughborough, Lutterworth, Market Harborough, Milton Keynes, Nottingham, Northampton, Nuneaton, Oundle, Peterborough, Rugby, Rushden, Tamworth, Wellingborough,as well as Crick itself.

Required skills and competencies:

- Solid knowledge of MYSQL/Bigquery or other versions of SQL
- Experience in using Javascript environments.
- Expert knowledge of using Google Sheets or Excel.
- The ability to translate complex technical issues so they are easy to digest by Stakeholders.
- Previous experience working with a data analytics/business intelligence/Management Information team.

You’ll have an analytical mind and be someone who enjoys working alongside senior stakeholders, by showing your initiative and desire to find solutions to problems.

It is highly likely you will have worked in any of the following roles and/or markets, and worked with the following products and/or services: MI Analyst, MI Developers, Reporting Analysts, SQL Analysts, System Finance Analyst, Finance Analyst, Developers,BI Analyst, IT, AppScript, JavaScript, SQL, Construction, Building Products, Retail, Manufacturing, FMCG.
