Commercial Solar Project Manager

This is a great opportunity to combine your entrepreneurial mindset and renewable energy background to work as a PV solar project manager. You will be joining a fast-growing and award-winning renewable energy company based in Lancashire. Supporting your teamon each step of the way, you will be working on UK-wide projects, predominantly managing commercial rooftop installations ranging from 30KW-4MW.
The client are leaders in the renewable energy sector, with offerings including solar panels, smart energy solutions, LED lighting, batteries, and electric vehicle charging. Clients range across the commercial, industrial, farming, and public sector. You’llbe helping hundreds of businesses to utilise solar energy as a means to save on energy bills, all the while supporting the UK’s transition towards net-zero emissions.
**What you’ll be doing**:

- Developing PV (photovoltaic) projects at all stages from winning contracts through to system installation, operation, and maintenance.
- Creating and executing project plans, revising these as required to accommodate changing needs and requirements, resulting in the highest levels of customer satisfaction. This will include the production of site survey reports and feasibility studies, withcollaboration with the design, procurement, and specification team.
- Managing project budgets, alongside management of daily operations.
- Determining the appropriate revenue recognition whist also ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, and monitoring receivables for each project. You will ensure H&S compliance is maintained throughout construction, in addition to effectively enforcing projectstandards.
- Maintaining good relationships with key clients and suppliers.
- Filing project documents, ensuring they are completed, maintained, and stored appropriately. You will also ensure legal documents are completed and signed.
- Preparing for engagement reviews and quality assurance (QA) procedures.
- Facilitating team and client meetings, resolving issues in a timely fashion whilst maintaining a professional manner throughout.**What experience you’ll need to apply**:
This role is a perfect fit for you if you have;
- A relevant qualification within the renewable energy, engineering, or electrical sector.
- Familiarity with working with ISO standards and procedures.
- A Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) or similar H&S knowledge and experience.
- Experience with negotiating, structuring, and managing construction projects.
- Practical experience with general electrical and building works.
- Knowledge of commercial scale PV design and installation.
- Experience connecting large electrical installations to the grid.
