We have an exciting opportunity for a **PU Technology Leader** to join our Chemicals & Research Team.You will lead a small focussed team of chemists to develop the best in class, most cost effective PU/PIR products suitable for the Polyurethane foam market. This is a Divisional role,supporting the Insulation Business on a global scale to maximise technologies, install best practices and make PU chemistry of the future. **Responsibilities of our PU Technology Leader**: - Developing PU productsand driving innovation according to the strategic product roadmap and in line with Planet Passionate initiatives of lower embodied carbon and circularity of materials - Technicallyresponsible for delivery of next-generation PU foam based Insulation - Support the increase of product profitability and improve product performances by appropriate developments on cost reduction and best in class product offerings - Assures competitiveness and innovation of products and processes from a technological and design standpoint, in line with the business needs - Lead technical Research & Development PU projects for the Global Insulation Division,including co-development with other global Kingspan R&D and multi-functional teams - Implement technical roadmap structures, respecting existing patents whilst developing market-value adding patents - Support R&D projects at Group level, participating in meetings and sharing technical information and "best-practices” - Encourage "best-practice" sharing through the participation and promotion of meetings,monthly reports and technical presentations **Skills and Experience required of our PU Technology Leader**: - University degree in Chemistry or equivalent is required - Ideally a minimum of 7 years’ experience in PU chemistry, ideally with experience in R&D Managerial roles. - Previous experience in foam / emulsion/Polyol technology or polyurethane chemistry is essential - Good knowledge of IT tools for product development, - Fluency in English **What do we offer you as our PU Technology Leader?** - Highly competitive salary, dependent on experience - Contributory pension scheme - 4 x salary life assurance - Performance related annual bonus scheme - Many retail discounts on - travel and leisure, health, and wellbeing, eating out, shopping and lifestyle.
