**Job Title: Warehouse Operative**

**Business Area: Lucy Zodion Ltd**

**Location: Sowerby Bridge**

**Job Purpose**

To maintain the stores efficiently, accurately and in a timely manner, this involves the booking in, allocation and dispatch of goods to our production team and end customers.

**Key Accountabilities**

**Goods Inwards**
- Ensure that stock is safely and accurately received.
- Up-date all purchase order items received, via the Syspro computer system within a timely manner, highlight any discrepancies to the Warehouse Supervisor.
- Action any Purchasing requested from planning.
- Ensure that all stock is correctly marked up and in its correct location

**Dispatch**
- Run daily report showing sale orders, which need dispatching, print picking note.
- Ensure items are picked and packed correctly in accordance to the picking notes, follow any special instruction given.
- Ensure all dispatch note are produced via Syspro computer system.
- Produce courier tracking note and label via courier internet system.
- Ensure dispatch conformation routine is completed via Sage computer system.
- Run end of day dispatch reports via Syspro computer system.
- Run end of day Courier reports and notes via courier internet computer system.
- Inform Warehouse Supervisor of any discrepancies.
- Arrange transport when required.
- Ensure that all prepared Sale orders are collected at the end of each day.

**Manufactured items and Goods in Putaway**
- Ensure that stock is safely and accurately received, stored, picked and delivered to end-user correctly Progress stock being manufactured in the factory and ensure timely arrival either into the stores for stock or delivery to production.
- Assess location of stock and if necessary make a decision to relocate stock, to another area if more practical and efficient use of space can be achieved.
- Ensure stock is correctly marked up and in its correct location.
- Ensure all warehouse stock items are update via the Syspro computer system.
- Update the location system via Syspro computer system.
- Inform the Warehouse Supervisor of discrepancies.

**Cycle Counting**
- Run inventory reports cards for the items or location being cycle counted via Syspro computer system. Ensure that stock is safely and accurately counted
- Carry out a full Investigation and report to the Warehouse Supervisor any discrepancies found.
- Update inventory record via Syspro computer system.

**Export Consignment Stock**
- Run daily report showing sale orders which need Export consolidating.
- Ensure items are picked and packed correctly, and follow any special instruction given.
- Ensure that all sale orders are allocated via Syspro computer system.
- Generate all dispatch notes via Syspro computer system.
- Ensure that all pallets are marked with the correct delivery address, weight and size of pallets.
- Compete Shipping documentation.
- Record container details.
- Ensure all containers; Air Freight and Sea Freight are loaded correctly.

**Job Dimensions**
- Use and wear PPE when required
- Regularly lift / move items of 10kg and occasionally up to 25kg within safe lifting guide lines
- Frequently sit, stand, walk, reach within hands and arm’s length, stoop, kneel and crouch.
- Use substances covered under the COSHH regulations

**Secondary Activities & Tasks**
- Attend Health Surveillance meetings as appropriate, adherence to all Company Health & Safety Policies, Procedures and Safe Working Practices
- Attend training courses and participate in “on the job” training, to develop skills
- Take on additional duties after training and qualification
- May be required to show or explain processes to visitors
- To undertake any other duties and responsibilities as required / instructed in order to maintain and / or improve the efficiency, quality and service provided by the Logistics Department.
- Ensure good housekeeping of Warehouse area.
- Offer suggestions to the Warehouse Supervisor / Operations Manager at any time for anything that will improve the efficiency and/or safety of the Stores.

**Experience, Knowledge & Skills**

**Functional Competencies**

**Essential**
- Physically able to work in a Stores area
- Ability to interpret instructions
- Ability to work unsupervised in an efficient manner
- Computer literate in the use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook

**Desirable**
- Experience of working in a similar environment i.e. warehouse or stores
- Experience in the use of Syspro software
- Experience in the use of Sage software
