**What you’ll be doing**
We require a Senior Data Analyst to ensure the effective maintenance and availability of all smart meter consumption data and related data attributes from our purpose-built data warehouse.As the Senior Data Analyst you will be leading a team who have expertisein the management, analysis and reporting/visualization of this data to generate range of business insights and benefits.
Within this Senior Data Analyst role, you will lead work to define and build data storage, transformation and reporting needs from data sources to stakeholder delivery. This position manages and delivers a range of data and reporting services to internal andexternal stakeholders to support leakage, customer service, network efficiency and demand management and forecasting opportunities.
This position will require:
- Leading a team of analysts, engineers and data experts to process and deliver on business requirements and routine reporting for development of ADW and consumption related insight
- Triaging of business requests for insight and allocation of team resources to deliver against agreed priorities and reporting needs
- Ensuring work produced by team is of utmost quality, timeliness, and clarity by reviewing projects actively with team members, providing guidance, and technical support (SQL, analytics, logic, business understanding etc).
- Acquisitioning, building and maintaining new data sources to aid automation and enhanced analysis and insight from our data.
- Ensuring the ADW runs smoothly by raising and manging resolution of data incidents and availability issues impacting the flow of data to the data warehouse

- Team leadership of data experts to deliver last business benefits
- Ability to manage and prioritise requests and to develop robust delivery plans for data management improvements and insight
- Experience of working with large data sets and improving the access and insight via routine enhancements and releases of functionality and table structures
- Ability to manipulate and analyse data in SQL to an advanced level
- Advanced Excel modelling
- Data analytics and presentation techniques
- Power BI report creation
- Core cloud (azure) based technical knowledge
- Understanding of ETL processes for enterprise solutions
- Management and creation of automated data pipelines
- Highly numerate and used to working with large data sets
