We are looking to recruit Production Operators to join our workforce at our BSW Timber site in Fort William. As a Production Operator, you will contribute towards the creation of quality timber products - on time and to specification.

**Specifically, some responsibilities of a Production Operator may include**:

- Operation of state-of-the-art sawmilling machinery.
- Manual handling of timber.
- Working towards set production targets.
- Operation of mobile plant vehicles.
- Upholding the appropriate Health & Safety practices.
- Operation of weighbridge: booking in/out sawn goods, logs and coproducts as well as controlling incoming site traffic movements. (Log Yard areas only)
- Operation of high-pressure & low-pressure treatment tanks (Treatment Plant areas only).

**About you**:
Ideally, we’re seeking motivated and hardworking individuals who are quality focused and who understand the value of the goods they are producing. A degree of flexibility will be required to ensure operations are maximised, maintained and quality targets are met with minimum wastage.

In addition, you will have:

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- An appreciation of quality and Health & Safety.
- Willingness to undertake all relevant training required to fulfil the role.
- Experience within a manufacturing, or similar production environment, would be advantageous.
