Axon Moore are exclusively partnered with a growing SME based in Chorley as they look to recruit a Financial Controller to help with their next phase of growth. Reporting into the Managing Director this role will take ownership of the full financial reportingand accounting activities as well as supporting the MD in other key areas.
Key responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly management accounts for submission to head office
- Preparation of statutory accounts for audit
- Weekly cash forecasts
- Annual budget and update of forecast as required
- All monthly journals, accruals, prepayments, bad debt provisions
- All cashbook transactions and bank reconciliations
- Responsibility for monthly reporting and reconciliations
- Daily upload of invoices and other notifications - receivables finance facility
- Overseeing ledgers & credit control and ensuring month end close off, including purchase invoice sign off and supplier payment authorisation
- Credit checking & sign off of new customers
- Quarterly VAT returns
- Monthly payroll and associated monthly payments, including pension auto enrolment and communications
- Dealing with annual financial audit and providing all required data, dealing with subsequent queries and audit close meeting
- Dealing with quarterly bank audits re financing facility and providing all required data and answering all associated queries
