As a vaccinator for the school-aged immunisation team you will be part of a team who identifies, assesses, and offers routine childhood vaccinations to all children across Berkshire in a range of settings, including schools, community clinics and via our new health bus.

You will be responsible for several schools and will work with them to ensure they achieve good uptake and offer targeted intervention as required to ensure that everyone has fair and equitable access to vaccination services.

- Part time role - 24 hours per week
- The role is term time only (39 weeks of the year). Please note all holidays need to be taken in the school holidays (these class as your annual leave).
- You will be based in the East team and will mainly support delivery across Slough, Maidenhead, and Windsor. However, you will be expected to support the wider team in the Central and West of Berkshire, where required.
- Immunisations are a vital public health initiative. During the school year we deliver:
Seasonal Flu
Human Papillomavirus (HPV)
Tetanus, Diphtheria, Polio Booster
Meningitis ACWY
Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) catch up programme.
Covid 19 to SEN Schools.
Supporting BHFT staff vaccination campaign
- Full training is provided. Whilst previous vaccination experience is desirable, it is not essential as we will ensure you are trained and competent within your role.

**The “must haves” for this role**:
1. Nurse or midwife (currently registered with the NMC), Paramedic (currently registered with the HCPC)
2. Ability to be flexible with working hours to include one late shift per week (up until 20:30 (Enhanced payments will apply) and a minimum of one weekend clinic per month (either a Saturday or Sunday morning)
3. Car driver with access to your own car
