**Assistant Site Manager** Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

**Salary**: £37,672 to £46,044
Location: Manchester Region

**CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- To contribute to the strategic leadership of Great Places and shaping the vision;

**PURPOSE OF ROLE**:

- Passionate about construction, house building and customer service.
- Proven ability to manage trades and programmes on a busy building site
- Proven knowledge and experience of Building & Construction
- Sound knowledge of Health, Safety and Welfare facilities and CDM
- Good communication, organisation, collator, delegator and man management
- Articulate, numerate, literate and able to read drawing

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Assist the site manager to ensure that all construction work under their control is built in accordance with the programme of works.
- Cover the site when the manager is on leave
- Must have a full understanding of building regs and NHBC standards
- Open and lock site as required
- Manage staff and contractors
- Ensures effective control of subcontractors in maintaining all necessary quality control checks to ensure the required standard by complying with the relevant specification and working practices
- Assist the Site Manager in the preparation of final inspections.
- Assist the site manager regarding the calling off of materials and for adjustment of schedules pertaining to under scheduling and surplus requirements.
- Assist the site manager with regard to positioning/storing and protection of materials.
- Liaises with Site manager regarding the performance and assessment of subcontractors.
- Liaises with Site Manager regarding the maintenance of daily and weekly records.
- Maintains all aspects of the requirements laid down by the Health and Safety Executive and the Factory Inspectorate and ensure at all times that the security of buildings is maintained.
- Liaises with Sites Manager regarding the handover process of plots at completion.
- Liaises with Site manager prior to meetings and inspections by client, to enable discrepancies/peculiarities to be raised and clarified.
- Liaises with the Site Sales Team and Contracts Manager regarding handover dates and purchaser occupation and/or any purchaser queries raised prior to and after occupation.
- Help with the HUGS packs
- Help with the electronic transfer of all handover documents to the NHBC and GP portal

**ASSISTANT SITE MANAGER**

Person Specification
- SMSTS
- 1ST AID
- Scaffold awareness (preferred)
- CSCS Card (preferred)
- Temp works coordinator(preferred)

**EXPERIENCE & SKILLS**:

- Trade background or at least a site based background
- Proven track record within a volume house building
- Must have some Assistant management experience
- Good man management
- Proven ability to build and work to programme
- Good communication skills
