**Job Title: Technical Author**

Assystem are an Award-Winning International Engineering Design Consultancy who provide innovative and cutting edge solutions. We have a number of UK based offices and a significant, loyal client base.

As our reputation for proficient delivery of complex projects grows even stronger, we have a need for 2 x Technical Authors to join us in Cumbria.

**Technical Author**
- A key aspect is to produce all aspects of Engineering, Inspection, Maintenance & Testing documentation in support of project delivery; which include Engineering Maintenance Instructions and Operating Instructions ; including interaction with plant engineers and the building maintenance teams / commissioning teams.
- Trained in risk assessment production and the production of written risk assessments, including interaction with plant engineers and the building maintenance teams / commissioning teams.
- Lead stakeholder meetings with plant engineers and lead plant walk downs to agree the produced risk assessments
- Shall be able to deliver work packages with the minimum supervision and to a high quality
- Good communication skills is a key requirement of the post and being able to interact with other members of the pre ops team.
- Having a technical and operational knowledge of pre ops delivery would be an advantage.

**Your background**:

- You will need to have experience in a similar role
- Experience of using Microsoft Packages - Excel/Word
- A Technical / Operational background
- Your experience in the nuclear industry would be a real advantage

**Security clearance**:
Due to the nature of work to be undertaken applicants will be required to meet certain residency criteria in order to attain a minimum level of UK security clearance if not already security cleared to a minimum SC level.
