**What is a Team Leader?**
- Guests visit us to get locked in a themed room full of puzzles, riddles, secrets, and technology. It might be a 1920s office, a hi-tech laboratory, or a London dockyard. They get 60 minutes to try to escape.
- The Games Master is there to help them along their journey.
- The Team Leader is there to lead the Games Masters, ensuring that they are firing on all cylinders and delivering a top quality service

**What would I do as a Team Leader?**

The role of Team Leader is two-fold. You are there to lead a team of Games Masters, while also running games yourself (please see the Games Master job listing for more details)

You will also assist the venue manager in the following duties
- Staff Scheduling and Rotas
- Room Reports
- Recruitment and Training of New/Existing Staff
- Staff 1-to-1’s
- Introduce improvements to the rooms - Finding suppliers and obtaining a few quotes for approval by Directors before arranging and managing install
- TripAdvisor Reviews - ensure we continue to increase the gap between us and competitors with 5 star reviews by giving the customer a top service / experience

This role requires good organisation, communication and team working skills. You will be required to think on your feet and be able to manage challenging situations. Reporting to the directors, you will need to be professional in their manner.

The business is 24/7, so you must be willing to work weekends and evenings.
You will be expected to actively sell to tourist market customers and deliver great experiences for everyone walking through the door.

You will be responsible for managing, motivating and getting the best out of the team and will need to demonstrate leadership qualities.

As the business grows to more locations you have room to progress to an assistant/venue manager and will be encouraged to grow their skills to achieve this.

**Where would I work?**
- We are based across two buildings in the heart of the Jewellery Quarter, very close to Birmingham City Centre (10 mins), Snow Hill Station (5 mins) and New St Station (15 mins).
- _**A people person**_- We are looking for someone who can keep large groups engaged and entertained. You must be comfortable speaking to a variety of people. You are a part of their escape experience, and should strive to ensure they have a great time.
- _**Flexible **_- Our operational hours are 09:00 - 23:00 Monday to Sunday

While weekends are generally our busiest times, we have domestic and corporate bookings throughout the week. Being available for these is _vital_.
- _**Collaborative **_- Our team of Games Masters is a diverse family of characters. We want team players who know how to 'muck in' and want the best for their colleagues.
- _**Attentive **_- Games must be watched and listened to with keen focus. And you will need to be precise when resetting the escape rooms. If you're someone who spots when a picture is hung at an odd angle, or when something needs a good dusting, you may have the right eye for the job.

**What experience do I need to get the job?**
- Prior experience as a Games Master would be excellent, but not strictly necessary
- Prior experience in a low-to-mid-level management position preferred
- Transferable skills could be found in actors, bartenders, sound operators, TV runners, engineering students, administrative assistants, and all sorts.

**What are the conditions of the job?**
- Team Leaders are contracted to work minimum 30 hours a week. Depending on bookings/rota for the week, you may be required to work more than that.
- The salary is £'10.50/hour
