Linux Engineer - 6 Months Contract - Inside IR35 - SC CLEARED REQUIRED
Linux Engineer urgently required by market leading organisation based on London.
The Linux Engineer will be required to manage all aspects of the end-to-end delivery in support for all of the Linux Environments, adhering to the relevant standards and assisting projects where required.
The Linux Engineer will assist in the design, development and support their Linux Server and Storage systems, both virtual and physical.
Technical Skills for this Linux Engineer will include:
- Inside IR35
- LINUX VERSIONS 6/7/8
- Extensive Linux experience, preferably with Red Hat Linux
- RHEL - Red Hat Enterprise Linux experience essential
- Virtualization experience - VMware experience essential
- Happy in a support-based role, with the ability to perform project work when required
- Ideally being Red Hat engineer certification.
- Experience supporting development environments and Docker container workloads.
- Creation of bash scripts / cron jobs to facilitate automated maintenance tasks
- Strong commercial experience with popular technologies such as (and not limited to) Docker, Terraform, VMware, Apache, WordPress, MySQL, Bash Scripting, Puppet, Git, OpenSSL, and Bind.
- Experience working with monitoring and log aggregation platforms such as Nagios, SolarWinds, LogPoint and Elastic Stack.
- Experience supporting MySQL database environments
- Occasional on-call will be required
