Coventry, United Kingdom Cambridge University Press & Assessment Full time

**Salary**: £26,700-£34,700 pro-rata

Location: Cambridge / Coventry / Hybrid

Contract: Fixed term until 18/07/23

We are Cambridge University Press & Assessment, a world-leading academic publisher and assessment organisation and a proud part of the University of Cambridge.

Our Development Project Officers are involved with the redevelopment or amendments of OCR General Qualifications (Entry Level, GCSE, AS and A Levels). There is a great opportunity for you to be innovative in this role, as you will be working on new qualifications which will be going out to all of our learners across the country. This is the opportunity for you to use your previous project management experience to liaise with colleagues across OCR to ensure the smooth and successful delivery of Product Development projects.

As an excellent communicator with a positive can-do attitude, you will be flexibly working on a range of varied briefs, delivering high quality amendments to products often at a fast pace, or working on projects to support future development processes. This is your chance to work directly on our products, contributing new ideas and shaping the future of our general qualifications that are being taken by children and learners across the UK.

This role is part time for 22 hours per week.

**About the role**

You will work with a Product Designer on product development, amendment or withdrawal projects (from inception to business readiness). Ensuring products are delivered on time, to cost, and to quality assurance parameters.
- No two days will be the same here, but if we had to sum it up, a typical day could involve the following:

- Project planning
- Establishing project plans and schedules
- Managing risks and issues
- Working with colleagues in different teams including assessment, sales and marketing, operations, product management and product support, and sometimes external developers
- Capturing spend against project budgets
- Ensuring that projects are delivered in adherence to OCR and relevant regulatory process and governance requirements.

You will be amending and updating current qualifications based on strategic insights and internal and external feedback. This will include administrative and proof-reading activities.

You will be contributing to specific projects to improve product development processes or governance.

**About you**

Experience within project management is imperative for this role, and you need to be a confident “plate spinner”, as you will often have multiple competing priorities. A high capability with Adobe Acrobat and MS Office will allow you to hit the ground running in this role, as well as a positive, can-do, problem solving attitude. If you have previous education-related background, that is a huge benefit.

For a full brief on what this role entails, or more details on what will make you successful, please see the full job description at the bottom of the advert on our careers page.

**Rewards and benefits**

We will support you to be at your best in work and to live well outside of it. In addition to competitive salaries, we offer a world-class, flexible rewards package, featuring family-friendly and planet-friendly benefits including:

- Group personal pension scheme
- Discretionary annual bonus
- Life assurance up to 4 x annual salary
- Private medical and Permanent Health Insurance
- Green travel schemes
- 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays

We also offer flexible and hybrid working options from day one. We will consider any work arrangements if you wish to work flexibly or require adjustments due to a disability.
- Please note that Cambridge University Press & Assessment will not ordinarily be able to provide sponsorship for vacancies of less than 12-months in duration. Applicants must therefore have an existing right to work in the UK to be eligible for this position._

**Why join us**
- Joining us is your opportunity to pursue potential. You'll belong to a collaborative team that's exploring new and better ways to serve students, teachers and researchers across the globe - for the benefit of individuals, society and the world. Sharing our mission will inspire your own growth, development and progress, in an environment which embraces difference, change and aspiration. _
- Cambridge University Press & Assessment is committed to being a place where anyone can enjoy a successful career, where everyone has a voice, and where we learn continuously to improve together. Ensuring that everyone feels they belong is essential to who we are, and to the contribution we make to society and our planet. _
