Technical support Engineer - Telematics - Remote
Do you feel it is time to come away from fitting quantity over quality? We have a very unique Technical Support Engineer role for experienced telematics/vehicle CCTV engineer that want to step into a Technical Support/customer facing role. As a TechnicalSupport Engineer, you will involve in customer support, fleet development, as well as hands on support within fault finding and complex installs.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience within automotive electrics and/or electronics.
- Confident and capable of installing/integrating components to systems in a professional manner.
- Must demonstrate high level of knowledge of DC circuits, plus understanding of analogue and digital electronics.
- Confident communicator with customers and partners.
- Self-motivated and takes full responsibility for the quality of own work.
- Able to work to tight deadlines.
- Resourceful to provide technical support.
- Strong focus on delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities;
- Perform both trial and initial fittings for customer sign off, setting the standard for installation partners who will complete the rollout
- Document fitting work in line with Group Engineering standards to ensure visibility of work carried out and provide a template for installation partners
- Support customers, after fitting in terms of fault resolution and technical enquiries. Ensure faults are documented and reported back to the Group Quality Manager if relevant.
- Provide technical expertise at customer meetings in support of sales process
- Attend UK shows with regards stand build up, to ensure product demonstrations are working etc., and stand duty, to assist customers
This role is primarily a customer-facing role providing technical support, both hands-on and through expert advice, with the aim of promoting current and new business. You will be both home office and field based covering all operations, although primarilythe Midlands. Training visits to their HQ in Kent will be required from time to time, to stay up to date on product knowledge and processes.
