Manchester, United Kingdom DWF Full time

Why join us?:
This hybrid role, based in Manchester, offers the opportunity to lead and manage the full early careers journey — from attraction and recruitment to development and performance. You’ll have a direct impact on how apprentices and early careers talent are supported across the firm.

You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders, training providers, and external partners to deliver high-quality programmes that align with our commitment to social mobility and talent development.

**Responsibilities**:
You will oversee the full lifecycle of apprentices and early careers professionals, ensuring effective recruitment, development, and performance management. This includes managing relationships with training providers such as BPP, Damar, Barbri, ULaw, and CILEX; coordinating recruitment campaigns and assessment centres; and supporting apprentices through regular check-ins, performance reviews, and rotation planning. You will also design and deliver induction programmes and provide guidance to line managers on the effective management of junior talent.

In addition, you will maintain good relationships with external partners and social mobility organisations to enhance outreach and diversity initiatives. The role will also involve contributing to bids and tenders with accurate apprenticeship data, overseeing sponsored learning routes, and working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment between business priorities, training requirements, and the firm’s early careers strategy.

What will help you succeed in this role?:
**Essential**
- Considerable background in early careers or apprenticeship programme management.
- Proven experience across recruitment, performance management, and learning and development.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Confident facilitator with the ability to engage and influence diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated commitment to social mobility and diversity in early careers.

**Desirable**
- Experience working within a law firm or professional services environment.
- Familiarity with apprenticeship standards and qualification routes such as CILEX, SQE, or CIPD.
- Good data management and reporting skills to support bids, tenders, and internal reporting.
- Experience developing or refining early careers frameworks or rotation programmes.

What we offer?:
We are committed to ensuring that each member of our team feels valued and duly rewarded during their time at DWF.
