**Job description**:
This is an exciting opportunity for a versatile leader and manager. The Assistant Head of Regional Future Strategic Business is a key senior leader in Regional Delivery South West and Reserves Forces & Cadets Association (RFCA). The role is high profile and challenging. It will provide a significant sense of achievement in mobilising new customers onto complex multi-million-pound Facilities Management Contracts.
You will also have a meaningful role as an individual leader within the wider Regional Delivery function and collectively as a member of the SW & RFCA senior leadership group. In the context of day-to-day operational challenges, developing and mentoring your team taking them from strength to strength using the DIO leadership code as the underpinning foundation will be key.
**Person specification**:
The post holder will act as the regional lead for all Future Defence Infrastructure Solutions (FDIS) development, mobilisation, and implementation. By being a key focal point for the SW Region for DIO, MOD and Civil Service in relation to FDIS and mobilisation of new requirements onto the existing Hard and Soft Facilities Management contracts.
Our customers often have a large and complex infrastructure requirement which entails close management of deliverability of multifaceted projects and estate assets. These require careful management of the customer and contractor interface. Bringing customer requirements to life, co-ordinating closely with all internal DIO teams. Responsible for the engagement and stakeholder management of all new customer bases, leading your team within a collaborative environment. Working with our trusted partners in setting the standards expected for service delivery, co-ordinating the interface with users and stakeholders that have an interest in RD.
Whilst not a prerequisite, the role will benefit from prior experience in infrastructure management. However, a proven track record in operational leadership and leading a geographically dispersed team to deliver excellent results is essential.
