**Job Purpose**

As a Compliance Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing support in managing the company's compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, policies and procedures. You will work closely with the
Compliance Manager to ensure that the company's policies and procedures are in compliance with regulatory standards. You will also support the production of regulatory reports and assist with the implementation of risk management strategies.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist the Compliance Manager in identifying and assessing risks and risk controls across the business, required to meet regulatory standards
- Support the updating and maintenance of the company's risk register and risk mitigation action log
- Work with relevant operational departments to embed risk management within business processes and ensure they are appropriately owned and controlled
- Understand key regulatory and statutory rules, regulations, principles, and codes of practice, and provide recommendations to ensure compliance
- Support the production of regulatory reports in a timely and accurate manner
- Conduct periodic reviews of the company's policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Provide training to employees on compliance-related topics, as necessary
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and communicate changes to relevant stakeholders
- Perform other reasonable duties as required

As a Compliance Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring that the company complies with regulatory requirements and maintains a strong risk management culture. You will be expected to have a good understanding of relevant regulations, policies, and procedures, and be able to work collaboratively with stakeholders across the organization.

**Competency Requirements**
- Degree level and / or 3 years’ experience
- Risk, quality assurance or compliance experience within the legal sector is desirable but not essential or the ability to demonstrate transferable knowledge from within another regulated sector. [FCA/SRA Regulated Environments]
- An awareness of the Data Protection Act and UK GDPR, AML and Complaint handling essential

**Skills & Qualifications**

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in business, law, finance or related field
- At least 2 years of experience in a compliance role, preferably within a regulated industry
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, such as Data Protection Act and UK GDPR, AML and complaint handling
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Attention to detail and analytical thinking
- Problem solving skills, with the ability to translate issues and find resolutions
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
