**Part Time/Full Time Care Navigator (GP Receptionist)**
Pioneer Medical Group comprises of 3 practices including Avonmouth Medical Centre, Ridingleaze Health Hub and Bradgate Surgery. We are seeking friendly, kind, professional and enthusiastic Care Navigators to help us manage and deliver first class healthcare to our patients.
**Most of your role will be telephone based,**and duties will typically include:
- Assisting and signposting patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional
- Providing general assistance to the practice team and other healthcare providers
- Providing non-clinical information or advice to patients / relatives
- Work alongside the duty team to ensure patients receive the right care at the right time from the right person
- Ensuring that appointments are booked as per practice protocols
**You’ll be working in a busy practice where handling high volumes of calls and providing excellent customer service are vital to the role.**
Other tasks include: maintaining patient records, managing patients’ medication requests, scanning documents and front desk duties. You will also be required to undertake any other duties that may be reasonably requested of you to help the department run smoothly.
This role will come into contact with patients and members of the public, so you must be professional, of smart appearance, have a friendly manner and be able to deal with patients, public and staff in a sensitive, tactful and discrete manner whilst maintaining strict confidentiality. You must also be a positive and adaptable individual in a constantly changing environment.
Required Education and Key Skills:
- Recognised standard education at GCSE level
- Basic knowledge of working with or communicating with the public
- Ability to handle information securely and confidentially
- Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team
- Strong customer service skills
- Able to work efficiently and have great attention to detail
