Ward 3 is a 16 bedded stroke/rehab department that is a caring and friendly environment providing specialist stroke care to patients in the acute and rehabilitation phase following a stroke as well as providing neuro-rehabilitation care to patients following a head injury.
Our aim is to provide holistic care for stroke patients, utilising a co-ordinated multidisciplinary approach, resulting in optimal patient outcomes. We work with a mixture of specialist nursing teams, medics and therapists to provide an individualised and supportive environment for patients in which to deliver this specialised care for patients following a stroke.
As a Band 3 HCA you will be responsible for providing high standards of care. Your role will involve assisting the nursing staff with some clinical duties. Training will be arranged for you to achieve these skills. Being a Band 3 HCA also means you will lead by example and supervise and support junior members of staff to improve and maintain high standards of care.
The successful applicant should be highly motivated with good interpersonal skills and be able to work under pressure and work well within the team. They should have a keen desire to provide and maintain a high standard of care at all times.
