**Data Protection Officer**
Advantage Resourcing are now searching for a Data Protection Officer to join a client based in Kent.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the organisation remains compliant with GDPR and DPA 2018, co-ordinating DSAR responses, offering advice on DPIAs, dealing with breaches and training staff among other key duties.
This is a hybrid position with 3 days in the office and 2 days WFH.
There is free parking on-site and the position comes with a performance-based bonus.
**Key Skills as Data Protection Officer**
- Responding to complex Data Subject Access Requests
- Advising on Data Protection Impact Assessments
- Ensuring compliance with DPA 2018 and GDPR
- Budget management
- Working in partnership with consultancies
- Knowledge of the Freedom of Information Act
- Any Data Protection certifications/qualifications (Desirable)
**Key Responsibilities as Data Protection Officer**
- Monitoring data protection compliance with relevant information rights, data protection law and internal policies
- Reviewing data processing operations and the accessibility of personal data
- Ensuring that people handling data are provided with appropriate training and awareness-raising activities
- Ensuring compliance checking activities are undertaken as necessary
- Managing the Information Governance Working Group
- Creating and ensuring the creation of DPIA policies
- Monitoring and providing guidance as necessary in relation to data security breaches
