Bayram Timber are the UK’s leading bespoke timber supplier to the nation’s caravan and merchant sectors. We are also part of the BSW Group, the UK’s largest forestry and timber business and member of Binderholz, Europe’s largest timber processor.

An excellent opportunity has arisen that would suit a recent graduate or an ambitious individual wishing to gain further experience and development in busy finance and payroll function. Based in Melton, North Ferriby, we are looking for a self-motivated and experienced Payroll and Finance Assistant.

Reporting to an experienced Finance Business Partner and closely working with our Finance Director, you will have the opportunity to develop and grow under their guidance. You will be providing invaluable support to the finance function, specifically with the accountability for running a monthly payroll of c160 employees. This year we also have an exciting project to change the Payroll and HR system, of which you will be an integral part.

You must have high levels of accuracy and efficiency in your work with experience of general finance duties such as purchase ledger, credit control, reconciliation etc. It is essential you have payroll experience including weekly timesheet reconciliation, SSP/SMP/SPP calculations, and general system administration. Ideally you will have used Sage or Mitre Finch systems, and it would be advantageous if you have payroll system implementation experience. This role requires you to be proficient in using MS Excel and Word.

CIMA/AAT part qualified would be advantageous.
