**Overview**
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in a care home or home care setting, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to implement care plans and assist with daily living activities, fostering a supportive environment for our residents.

**Responsibilities**
- Assist patients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support residents in daily activities such as meal preparation and feeding.
- Maintain accurate records of patient care and progress in accordance with care plans.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care.
- Help transport patients within the care facility or to external appointments as needed.
- Monitor and report any changes in patient conditions to nursing staff promptly.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to health and safety protocols.
- Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills.

**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective interaction with patients and colleagues.
- Basic IT skills are advantageous for maintaining patient records and documentation.
- A valid driving licence is beneficial for transporting patients when required.
- Ability to understand and implement care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others is essential for success in this role.

Pay: £12.60-£13.10 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
