Band 3 Gynae Rapid Access Booking Administrator 37.5 hours Monday - Friday, Band 3
The Gynaecology Department currently has a booking system in place with regards to all of the two week rule rapid access referrals for both the Rapid Access Services at the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle and West Cumberland Hospital, Whitehaven.
The job role will provide patients with the necessary information for their up-coming two week rule appointment following the referral from the GP.
To provide efficient administration support to the current Booking Administrator / admin support to the wider team. To deliver effective administration of general office duties, supporting the referral process to ensure patients receive the most appropriate appointment, which should reflect the clinical needs of the patient, the earliest appointment availability to meet NHS targets and uphold organisational values.
The role is pivotal to the effective management of all Elective and Planned Surveillance, Rapid Access targets.
To act as a first point of contact for the patient and service users and liaise professionally with other health care professionals, escalating as necessary
