**Hours: 35 per week (Service runs across 7 days, typically working every second weekend)**

Join the British Red Cross as a **Senior Community Support Worker**— working closely with the Service Manager, you’ll drive service excellence, mentor staff, and ensure every service user receives the highest standard of care. You’ll also play a key role in overseeing service quality through practice observations, user feedback, and support plan audits. Step up and help shape a stronger, more caring community.
**What does a typical day in the life of a Senior Community Support Worker involve?**
- Maximising independence through coordinating care at home.
- Providing compassionate care in accordance with Care Inspectorate regulations, making a real difference in service users' lives.
- Collaborating with the team to maintain optimal staffing levels and adapt work plans to evolving needs.
- Empowering individuals by connecting them to additional resources and services, while also mentoring and assisting fellow team members.
**What do you need to be a successful Senior**Community Support Worker**?**
- **Preferred qualifications**: National 5 level education, SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, and a PDA in Supervision.
- **Flexible approach**:Willingness to work according to duty rotas.
- **Leadership**: Ability to take responsibility for the overall running of the service in the absence of a senior staff member.
- **Travel**:Ability to travel throughout the area as required.
- **Compliance**:Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 3 months of starting the role.
