Shape A Life is looking for a Specialist Graduate Teaching Assistant to provide support for **Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH). **This role is ideal for a graduate considering a career in SEN teaching, educational or clinical psychology.
The position is available at a **secondary school in Wickford, Essex **that places high value on students. The school aims to provide an inclusive and supportive learning environment and believes in a holistic approach to education.
The SEMH Teaching Assistant will work closely with the school's SENCo and will need to be energetic and creative in their approach to inspire their learners. The primary focus of the role will be to support individuals' social, emotional, and mental health needs so that they can access all areas of the curriculum.
**Starting ASAP **this will be a term-time-only position, and you will earn **£450 - £500 per week**
**Your Key Responsibilities**:
- Taking responsibility for learners both inside and outside of the classroom
- Assessing the needs of the students under your care and support the teacher with monitoring progress
- Support students educational progress and attainment
- Delivering 1:1 and small group interventions
- Promote positive values, attitudes, and good pupil behaviour.
- Actively encourage the inclusion of all students to participate in the life and activities of the school.
- Promote and reinforce the inclusion, acceptance and integration of all pupils.

**You will need**:
- Passion and enthusiasm to shape the next generation.
- An interest in SEMH, secondary school education or SEND.
