**General Description**

The Washbay Operative will work as part of a team and on their own initiative to help maintain the high standards that Garic promise to its customers. This involves cleaning and maintaining our products such as welfare units and plant equipment as well as site offices, the canteen and toilets. The role will involve cleaning duties, general labouring, moving materials and keeping the site clean and tidy under the supervision of a manager on site.

The Washbay Operative will also be a strong advocate for Health and Safety by wearing all related PPE including Safety boots and a Hi
- Visibility vest in accordance with site policies.

K**ey Responsibilities and Accountabilities**

**Sweeping floors with brushes or dust control mops between moving machinery**

**Wiping surfaces down**

**Mopping floors with wet or damp mops**

Cleaning with pressure washer

**Dusting, damp wipe, wash or polish furniture, ledges, floors, radiators**

**To replenish consumable items (soap, toilet rolls, paper towels) when necessary**

**Take on additional responsibility as and when required**

**Carry out occasional maintenance duties**

**Qualifications and Skills**

**Essential**
- Experience working in a team environment
- Self-starter and be willing to go the extra mile

**Desirable**
- Cleaning experience
