**What’s the role about?**

As part of the Technology & Change (T&C) division, our Service Management organisation owns, develops and runs the key ITIL processes that underpin our end to end service. As part of this, we created a new asset management team, building on progress already made, delivering an exciting and new asset management strategy.

The asset management team is accountable for the ongoing management and tracking of all JLP hardware and software assets, ensuring that JLP is compliant with its licensing and contractual obligations.

As an Asset Lead your role will focus on Tools, Config and Hardware, taking the lead with colleagues in the team, the Service Management department, the wider T&C division and our strategic 3rd party vendors.

It is an exciting opportunity to be a key part of the team delivering a new way of working and directly supporting the commercial success of our 3rd party relationships.

**What you’ll be doing as Asset Lead - Tools, Config & Hardware**

You will be responsible for ensuring that the Partnership has complete and accurate information regarding its IT assets, stored within the CMDB and that the Asset Management tools are being appropriately managed and kept up to date. You will have specific responsibilities to manage, configure and enhance Flexera, IBM Licence Management Tool (ILMT) and Airtrack.

In addition, you will assure that our physical IT assets are being managed effectively and that there are sufficient processes and controls in place to identify missing, lost or stolen assets.

You will provide technical support and assistance to the Software Asset Managers to collect and analyse data required for licensing purposes from relevant teams across T&C and our partners.

**What you’ll have**:
You will have strong technical knowledge of IT infrastructure, such as servers, clusters and technologies such as VMware, AIX, Linux and be able to talk in depth with technical SMEs.

You will have good experience of managing one or more one or more Asset Management tools, such as Flexera, ILMT, ADDM, Atrium, ServiceNow, SCCM, Airtrack, WorkspaceOne (with Flexera and ServiceNow particularly appreciated).

You will have experience of working in an IT Asset Management role at a similar level with comparable accountabilities.

A good understanding of software licensing, either at a basic or detailed level would be a bonus.

With a multi-partner organisation, you will need to be able to demonstrate strong stakeholder relationship management and communication and analytical skills.

Demonstrating ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively, formally and informally, with all Partners and customers would be desirable as would an understanding and knowledge of the audience and tailors message and delivery method accordingly.
