Senior Ecologist

**ADAS** is seeking a **Senior Ecologist** to join our highly skilled ecology team on a **full time, permanent** basis to be **hybrid home and office based** in **Wolverhampton**.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Working as a team with our existing ecologists to ensure quality projects are delivered on time to our clients, managing these projects from inception to finalization
- Providing solid technical advice to clients
- Writing technical reports including preliminary ecological appraisals, ecological impact assessments, mitigation strategies and biodiversity management plans, habitat regulations assessments and protected species reports
- Quality review and approval of reports
- Leading on protected species surveys and training junior staff

**Person Specification**
- Full UK driving licence with access to your own vehicle and within a commutable distance to our office
- Demonstrable experience of ecological consultancy work, including leading on surveys and managing projects
- Good working knowledge of ecology, legislation, and survey techniques, including protected species surveys and mitigation
- Associate Level CIEEM membership or above
- Commercially aware with budget management experience
- Excellent written communication skills to produce accurate technical reports
- Knowledge and experience in Biodiversity Net Gain and Habitat Condition Assessments
- Ideally experience in BNG / Condition assessments / BREEAM

**Salary and Benefits**
- £30,000 - £37,000 per annum, dependent on skills and experience
