Must be able to deliver person-centered care to our residents, ensuring they have choices and able to make their own decisions unless they are unable to. Promote independence and dignity of the resident, assist with personal care, assist with all dietary requirements and ensure food and fluids are recorded on the electronic care system (Caredocs) Report any incident or accident immediately to the Senior Carer in charge of the shift, Senior Team Adviser or Registered Manager.

Care assistants must adhere to all policies and procedures of the care home, government guidelines, and most importantly the needs and wishes of the resident along with their individual and personalised care plan.

Carers must listen and communicate in a person-centred manner to the residents in their care and also work well within the care team, taking instructions, being focused at handover meetings and attend all required Team meetings to ensure the efficacy of our care home.

Training is provided with online learning with Social Care TV and Skills for Care Network, outside agencies deliver training and we are affiliated with Boston College for apprenticeships and delivery of Health & Social Care Courses.

We expect our staff to utilise their skills from either previous working roles and life skills. If you have never worked in care before then perhaps you might like an opportunity to do something that can really make a difference to an individual and their families. Care is incredibly rewarding and demanding too, support systems are in place to ensure that you feel supported in your role and there is an open-door policy with the Manager to ensure any concerns are shared and dealt with. The Manager is also there to offer support to you and to encourage you to become confident and assertive in your care role, listen to your ideas and help you with any training that although not on the care home curriculum you may feel could enhance the care home or the lives of our residents.

Part-time hours: 18 per week

**Salary**: £9.50-£10.00 per hour
