Boat Yard Assistant

**To polish, powerwash and clean boats. Dealing with customers including boat driving and demonstrations. General maintenance around marina and grounds.**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Machine compound and polish boats. Note this is labour intensive and is completed inside and outdoors.
- Drive boats (tuition given). Give demonstrations and tuition to customers for hire boats.
- Powerhose and descale bottom of boats when lifted on the boat lift. Clean/scrub tops of boats (summer months). Clean windows, canopies, teak etc.
- Assist boat lifting and setting down of boats.
- Basic fibreglass and gelcoat repairs (tuition will be provided). Grinding, Sanding, and painting fresh antifoul etc.
- Fill boats with diesel and operate pump out.
- Refuse collection from cottages and around the entire site.
- Drive company vehicles including van, tractors and quads.
- General maintenance around boats, marina, cottages and golf course (note: this may include helping unblock toilets and sewers). Grass cutting, weeding, hedge cutting etc. Leaf blowing, raking and collecting.
- Collections and deliveries.
- Changing bulbs and changing/setting timers.
- Manual labour Inc. digging, sweeping, edging, cutting/splitting/stacking wood etc. Assistance with site works around complex.
- Power washing jetties, pathways etc. Spraying of weed killer and fertilisers.
- Help maintain the laundry - check off / counting linen linen for laundry service. Keep washing machines and dryers going on busy periods.
- Any other duties, within reason and capability, as determined by the Directors.
