**Primary Purpose of Role**:
Market segment owner for general dental software solutions. This includes solutions for on-premises and hosted practice management software and related services.
**The Product Line Manager - Dental Products** is responsible for the direction, communication and implementation of our General Dental Software strategy, vision and commercialization process. The PLM is responsible for understanding customer requirements, market trends (both dental and broader) and technology developments as they relate to the dental industry.
They are responsible for the interpretation of those inputs and the delivery of innovative software solutions.
The Dental PLM is a key member of the Global Software Team, working with that team to deliver the overall strategy of an integrated dental and imaging software suite.
**Major responsibilities - Sensei**:
Set a vision, establish strategic roadmap/imperatives and create alignment with the vision across the organization for Sensei General Dentistry.
Establish a strategy for growing Market Segment value, and the associated execution roadmap.
Evaluate investments priorities, partnerships and OEM relationships which are aligned with the vision and strengthen or expand the current portfolio and end-markets.
Create meaningful industry and customer relationships to inform and influence investment strategy.
Establish and manage an operating system to oversee activities that are critical to the short-term and long-term success of the business and achieve key performance indicator goals.
Deliver results that meet or exceed the operating plan objectives.
Establish and manage communication and operating practices which build a culture of engagement, promotion of best practice, customer intimacy, compliance minded, and zero defects.
Deliver innovative products and an outstanding customer experience with a low variable and fixed cost structure; drive continuous improvement in each of these areas.
Maximize the long-term value of the business.
Ensure timely delivery of stories to the development teams, ensure support of the development teams to resolve questions
Work with other PLMs to ensure all major product initiatives are appropriately staffed and vetted for build
**Major responsibilities -Practice Works, SoftDent and R4**

**Min. Education and Field of Study**: Bachelor's Degree or Greater
**Minimum Years of Experience**: 5-10 years in software (preferably Dental or Medical Product Line Management). Experience in the medical, dental or imaging space advantageous, but not essential.
**Minimum Skills**: Demonstrated leadership skills. Excellent communication, written and oral, and financial acumen skills, with a bias for action and speed.
Desired Education, Skills & Experience: Include education, skills, work traits, certifications, etc.
Industry knowledge and proven performance track record.
Commercial knowledge and global product and/or service experience.
Demonstrated leadership skills both with indirect organizations.
Strategic thinker, who can move seamlessly into operating activities, with the ability and desire to be engaged and roll-up-your sleeves attitude.
Critical thinking; must be able to be creative in designing solutions.
Acute observation skills; must be able to demonstrate the art of watching and listening, as apposed to seeing and hearing.
Strong analysis skills; able to understand and interpret customer problems and needs and translate those into clear, concise customer requirements
Excellent communication and presentation skills;
Firm comprehension of the benefits of good usability and experience within the software environment
Excellent task management both personal and of others
Excellent traceability of decisions and tasks undertaken
Strong leadership, negotiation and interpersonal skills
Ability to work within multiregional team -- good multicultural skills; French language skills an advantage, but not essential.
Solid understanding of market trends and software innovations
Business analysis, business plan development, and business management skills
Portfolio management skill
Ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects
