**Job Purpose**:
To lead, supervise, and support a team of Security Agents to ensure the safe and secure processing of cargo in accordance with all DfT, CAA, and Mitie regulations and standards. This role includes overseeing screening operations, access control, incident response, and daily coordination of security tasks to deliver a compliant and professional service to our clients.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Supervise daily security operations including screening of air cargo via X-ray, ETD, and physical search methods.
- Ensure all team members are fully trained, compliant, and operating within regulatory frameworks (DfT/CAA).
- Conduct daily briefings, assign duties, and monitor staff performance throughout the shift.
- Carry out quality assurance checks on screening logs, equipment, and procedures.
- Act as first point of contact for any on-site security incidents or escalations.
- Maintain shift reports, screening records, incident logs, and ensure timely submission of documentation.
- Monitor access control and CCTV systems, and ensure all security protocols are followed at all entry and exit points.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders professionally and efficiently.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new staff in conjunction with HR and management.
- Assist with audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews, ensuring any findings are addressed.
- Lead by example in promoting Mitie's values, professionalism, and commitment to safety and service.
- Report and investigate breaches, near misses, or suspicious activity and submit necessary documentation.

**Essential Requirements**:

- **Valid CTC (Counter Terrorism Check)** or ability to obtain one.
- Aviation Security Cargo Training (CO, COS, GSAT) and demonstrated understanding of screening techniques.
- Proven experience in a supervisory role, ideally within aviation, logistics, or security.
- Strong knowledge of CAA and DfT cargo screening regulations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team coordination skills.
- Ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure.
- IT literate with experience using incident management or access control systems.
- Flexible and reliable with a proactive approach to work.
- Must be physically fit to carry out screening and site patrol duties.
- 5 Year checkable history in the UK

**Desirable**:

- SIA Licence (Security Guarding or Door Supervisor).
- Previous experience with auditing and compliance processes.
- First Aid trained.
- Understanding of airport or freight terminal operations.
- Experience using X-ray and ETD equipment in a supervisory or trainer capacity.
